Premier League transfer news: Perisic, Nainggolan to Man United, Lemar to Arsenal, Keita to Liverpool

PRE-season is well underway for the majority of teams in
England but that doesn’t mean the transfer market has slowed.

If anything, it is picking up speed as clubs attempt to bring
in players who will improve their squad before the 2017/18
campaign gets underway.

There are more and more stories linking players with big-money
moves but which of them can you trust?

are ten big deals to keep an eye on over the coming days and
weeks.

IVAN PERISIC – INTER TO MANCHESTER UNITED – 4.6

United’s interest in the Croatian star has been long-standing.
The Red Devils have been attempting to bring Perisic to Old
Trafford for over a month but, according to The Sun,
have finally agreed a £40m (AU$67m) fee with Inter Milan.

Perisic is believed to have already agreed personal terms with
United and is set to fly out to the USA in the coming days to
undergo a medical and complete a move to Old Trafford.

DANILO – REAL MADRID TO CHELSEA – 4.0

Chelsea turned their attention to the Real Madrid full-back
after a move for Juventus’ Alex Sandro stalled. Juve were too
interested in Danilo but reports in Spain claim the Brazilian
is keen to complete a switch to Stamford Bridge.

A fee of around £30m ($50m) is understood to be enough to get
the deal done,
although there are reports
that Los Blancos boss Zinedine
Zidane is unhappy that Danilo has pushed for a move behind his
back.

BENJAMIN MENDY – MONACO TO MAN CITY– 4.0

Since Pep Guardiola allowed Gael Clichy to leave the club at
the expiration of his contract, Manchester City have been
searching for a new left-back.

And their primary target for over a month has been Monaco’s
Mendy. The France international was one of many players to
impress for the Monégasques last season and the club placed a
£50m ($84m) price tag on his head.

It’s a figure City have been reluctant to reach but Guardiola
is keen to get a deal done as soon as possible and that,
reportedly, will see Mendy become one of the most expensive
defenders ever. A deal could be done in the coming days.

SERGE AURIER – PSG TO MANCHESTER UNITED – 3.7

The right-back is surplus to requirements at PSG following the
arrival of Dani Alves and a price tag of £20m ($33.5m) is
unlikely to put off many potential suitors.

Manchester United, Juventus, Manchester City and Barcelona have
all been linked with a move for Aurier. But the latter two have
signed Kyle Walker and Nelson Semedo which means their interest
has cooled.

United are currently favourites to land Aurier,
according to

The Sun

,
as they search for a long-term replacement for Antonio
Valencia, who will turn 32 years old before the start of the
new season.

THOMAS LEMAR – MONACO TO ARSENAL – 3.6

Arsenal have been working on a £50m ($84m) deal to bring Monaco
and France winger Lemar to the Emirates and have already seen
two bids rejected.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is believed to be a big fan of the
young winger and wants him to join the attacking trio of Alexis
Sanchez, Mesut Ozil and summer signing Alexandre Lacazette.

However, Monaco are under no pressure to sell Lemar and the
BBC report Arsenal now fear they may have missed out on
his signing.

Monaco do not want their talented side broken up and have
already let Bernardo Silva and Tiemoue Bakayoko depart. They’re
unlikely to sanction more than one more high profile sale.

NABY KEITA – RB LEIPZIG TO LIVERPOOL – 3.5

Football Whispers exclusively revealed in April Liverpool
were hopeful of signing Guinea star Keita this summer and their
interest has intensified over recent weeks.

Leipzig have publically stated they have no intention of
selling Keita but Football Whispers understand the
club’s stance has softened in recent days and the player is
hopeful of a move going through.

Manchester United have entered the race – as Football Whispers revealed – to sign Keita but his desire to
work with Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool’s persistence should see
him choose a move to Anfield if he leaves Leipzig.

VIRGIL VAN DIJK – SOUTHAMPTON TO LIVERPOOL – 3.5

Liverpool were so confident of landing Van Dijk in May that
they had already started on the promotional work to announce
his signing.

But Southampton were unhappy with the Reds speaking to the
Dutch centre-back without their permission and reported the
club to the Premier League.

Liverpool quickly apologised and pulled out of the deal,
however, Van Dijk has his heart set on a move to Anfield and
the Reds are still prepared to pay £60m ($100m) to secure his
signature. It may take a little time for relations to thaw but
it’s a transfer that should be done before the new season
begins.

RADJA NAINGGOLAN – ROMA TO MANCHESTER UNITED – 3.1

Manchester United have been searching all summer for a new
central midfielder and, with a deal for Chelsea’s Nemanja Matic
stalling, have turned their attention to Roma maverick Radja
Nainggolan.

Having already lost Mohamed Salah to Liverpool this summer,
Roma weren’t going to be receptive to bids for another one of
their stars – new sporting director Monchi said last week
Nainggolan would be staying at the club.

Financing a deal is no issue for United but it appears
Nainggolan is happy to remain at Roma and may
even sign a new contract
this week to kill off any hope of
a move being completed.

PIERRE-EMERICK AUBAMEYANG – DORTMUND TO CHELSEA – 3.0

Having missed out on Romelu Lukaku and with Alvaro Morata

now headed for Milan
, Chelsea’s search for a striker has
taken them to Borussia Dortmund’s Aubameyang.

According to reports
, the Blues have been offered the Gabon
international for £70m ($117m) but are yet to make a formal bid
for the striker who scored 40 goals last season.

Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke has attempted to force
Chelsea’s hand by stating a deal for Aubameyang must be done in
the “next few days” or he will be taken off the market. The
Blues need a frontman so are likely to push ahead with a move.

DELE ALLI – TOTTENHAM TO BARCELONA – 2.9

The England international has become one of the world’s best
young players over the past two seasons so it’s little surprise
he has been linked with a big-money move away from Tottenham.

According to Diario Gol, who aren’t always the most
reliable source, Leo Messi and Neymar have told Barcelona
chiefs to target Alli this summer if they are unable to land
first-choice transfer target Marco Verratti.

Alli has a contract until 2021 and Spurs would not want to sell
one of their key players. It’s a deal that is unlikely to
happen this summer but one that may take place in 12 months
time if Spurs struggle at Wembley and fail to finish in the top
four next season.
