New foot for a toggle clamp

Article Image After I wanted an extended foot for considered one of my
toggle clamps, I stumbled on this easy answer. The threaded
shank is a normal three⁄Eight in., so I eliminated the shorter foot and
changed it with an extended three⁄Eight-in. carriage bolt. The pinnacle of that
bolt is barely over three⁄Four in. dia., so a three⁄Four-in. rubber chair
foot matches it completely. Each objects can be found at
shops and residential facilities. This trick will work on bigger toggle
clamps with the three⁄Eight-in. shank. In case your toggle clamp is smaller
than that, strive a distinct bolt measurement and get inventive with the
rubber foot. —BILL SELDON, Lake Bluff, Ailing.
