Manchester United transfer news: Ivan Perisic, Eric Dier, Gareth Bale, Matic, Rooney, Ibrahimovic

IVAN Perisic could reportedly join Manchester United very soon.

According to
The Mail,
United are confident of securing the
28-year-old attacker, who’s set to pull out of the Inter
Milan’s tour to China.

Perisic has been a long-term target for the Red Devils, and
reportedly wants a move to Old Trafford, but a transfer fee has
been holding up the deal.

Now, the two clubs are reportedly set to agree on a £44 million
deal ($73m) – £39.5m plus £4.5m in add-ons – for the Croatian

The Serie A side wanted £48m ($80m), but will compromise on a
lower fee after turning their attention to signing a
replacement, according to the report.

Inter asked United about the possibility of including
Anthony Martial (on loan) in a deal for Perisic, but now
the club will reportedly sign Lazio’s Keita Blade, who
left his training camp to complete a move.

However, United want to complete a deal for the attacker before
he joins up with Inter’s squad on Tuesday morning (UK time) for
the tour to China.

Jose Mourinho is desperate to add more summer signings to his
squad after securing Romelu Lukaku and Victor Lindelof.

“We don’t have our door closed. We are not happy with just
Lukaku and Lindelof. We need more,” Mourinho said.

“We wanted four, so I could say 50 percent of the job is done,
but I won’t say that because it’s so difficult. I wouldn’t like
to be in Ed Woodward’s position, negotiating, because
everything is really difficult.

“Maybe we don’t get two, maybe we got one, but we need one to
give us more options and balance. We have players in the squad
that cannot play football for the next few months; players like
Marcos Rojo, Ashley Young.”

In a bid to boost the Red Devils squad,The
reported United are considering making a final
£60m offer to sign Eric Dier.

Tottenham don’t want to sell their midfielder, and have already
turned down a bid around £40m for the 23-year-old.

However, Mourinho wants more defensive midfield options –
despite Michael Carrick signing a new contract – and could make
one more massive offer to sign England international Dier.

Dier, who’s in search of more minutes, reportedly wants to join
United despite signing a new five-year Spurs deal worth
£70,000-a-week last season.

Mourinho has also been considering a move for Chelsea’s
Nemanja Matic, but he’s now linked with a Juventus

However, it seems Gareth Bale definitely won’t be
joining the Red Devils.

The Real Madrid star has been linked with an Old Trafford
transfer, but only signed a new five-and-a-half year deal with
Los Blancos last October.

“The truth is that I do not read any of that. Logically I am a
British player and I am always linked with a return home,” he
when asked about United’s interest.

“It happened with Beckham, with other Englishmen who came to
Spain. Nothing new.

“I am happy playing in Madrid, logically interest is interest,
but if there has been nothing concrete, no offer, there is
nothing to discuss.”

But there’s been developments for Wayne Rooney and
Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s futures with Manchester United.

According to
The Sun,
Rooney, who recently return to Everton after
13 years, has been offered to return to Old Trafford as a club
ambassador in the future.

Additionally, Mourinho has said Ibrahimovic could still sign a
new United deal after he left the club.

The Swedish striker added a further hint to that speculation by
reportedly enrolling his two sons into the Red Devils’ youth
