Juventus have already lost Leonardo Bonucci to AC Milan and
Chelsea have been negotiating to sign their fullback Alex
Sandro.

But Chelsea, according to Tuttosport, made a move for
Higuain 10 days ago in order to find a replacement for Diego
Costa.

It was Higuain’s first season with Juve, having joined from
Napoli for €90m ($132m) before going on to score 32 goals in 55
games in all competitions.

ANTONIO CONTE’S FUTURE IN DOUBT

Of greater concern for Chelsea is the future of manager
Antonio Conte – who has delayed signing a new contract.

Accord to an exclusive in The Sun, Conte has fuelled
fears over his immediate future as a result of frustration over
the club’s transfer activity.

It was expected the Italian would put pen to paper on a new
deal after leading Chelsea to the Premier League title in his
first season in England, but no deal has yet to eventuate.

“There are fears he is becoming increasingly unhappy,” report
The Sun, citing frustration in the club’s inability to
sign Bonucci, Alex Sandro and Lukaku.

PIERRE-EMERICK AUBAMEYANG LATEST

Despite the bid for Higuain, The Mirror reports Chelsea
are confident they can sign striker Pierre-Emerick
Aubameyang
this off-season.

The 28-year-old has stated his desire to leave Borussia
Dortmund after scoring 31 league goals last campaign.

Liverpool are rivals for his signature in a mooted £65m ($109m)
move.

Despite this, Chelsea think they are front runners, with
Dortmund having begun the lookout for a replacement No.9 –
believed to be Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud.

FULLBACK DEALS FROM EURO GIANTS

The Blues have reportedly blown their final chance to sign
Alex Sandro from Juventus.

Sky Sports Italia report Chelsea’s final £61.2m ($102m)
offer for the Brazilian has “failed” meaning Sandro is now
likely to stay in Italy.

Italian journalist Angelo Mangiante now claims Sandro will be
offered a new contract to stay in Turin.

Meanwhile, Chelsea’s pursuit of Real Madrid’s Danilo has
resulted in the PL champions being quoted a £30.8m ($51m)
transfer price.

Diario Gol in Spain report Danilo, 26, is interested in
a move to the London-based club, while the London Evening
Standard
states Real Madrid’s asking price has been told to
Chelsea.

NEMANJA MATIC EXIT NEARS

With the signing of Tiemoue Bakayoko now official, Nemanja
Matic’s
exit from Chelsea looks imminent.

The Guardian reports Matic has been granted permission
to miss Chelsea’s pre-season trip to Asia to finalise a
potential move to Juventus, with Diego Costa also set to be
missing from the travelling squad.

Interest has increased to sign Matic, 28, according to
Calcio Mercato – with Juve now the front runner as
Arsenal join the race.

Manchester United were interested, but their signing of Romelu
Lukaku under the nose of Chelsea has ended talks.
